2 more to end the year...
To end the year off, I have added two additional watches to my hoard…
First up is a run of the mill GW7900 “Rescue” G-Shock in white(ish). I wanted to pick up one of these as a beater for a while, so I picked up this one:
Some photos:
Specs:
• 52.4 x 50.0 x 17.7mm / 68.2g
• Shock Resistant
• 200M Water Resistant
• Low Temperature Resistant LCD (-20 C / -4 F)
• Auto EL Backlight with Afterglow
• Flash Alert (flashes with buzzer that sounds for alarms, hourly time signal, countdown timer time-up alarm, countdown timer progress beeper and stopwatch auto-start)
• Tide Graph (tide level for specific date and time)
• Moon Data (moon age of the input data, moon phase graph)
• Blah, Blah, Blah…
Next up is my new MKII Sea Fighter BUND I-C (DLC). This is one of less than 20 DLC Sea Fighters made by MKII (Sold Out!). Due to cost of production and the time involved, they have decided to produce this model in a very limited production run. When I saw the preview a month or so ago (http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2011/11/mkii-seafighter-bund-dlc.html), it piqued my interest because I always wanted to try out a DLC watch. The pricing was very good, so I whispered in my wife’s ear…
So, my wife bought this for me as one of my Christmas gifts and it came in about a week prior to the holiday weekend. The quality is very nice and the blasted case with DLC finish is very cool. Of course, I had to scrap the OEM rubber strap for an IsoFrane RS with PVD buckle...ahhhh, the world in now again at peace! Perfect combo IMO!
So far, it is dead on accurate…that is after two weeks of owning it!
Some photos:
Here are the specs:
• Model: Sea Fighter BUND DLC
• Dimensions: Size 42.35mm across (without crown), 48.90mm Lug-to-Lug, 14.22mm height, 22mm lug spacing
• Weight: 99g
• Case: Bead blasted 316L stainless steel with DLC finish, DLC solid caseback, crown at 4 o’clock, drilled lugs (screws) and DLC divers bezel
• Crystal: Double domed sapphire crystal
• Movement: Elabore-grade ETA 2824-2, rhodium plated, 25 jewels, 28,800 vph, 40h power reserve. Decorated and MKII branded.
• Water resistance: 20 ATMs (200 meters)
• Bracelet/straps: Italian rubber diving strap, Black NATO strap.
• Other: Screwdrivers (2)

The buying frenzy is under control, Duff; instead of buying one everyday, he's buying several a day, then laying off a couple weeks. More like serial buying.
Good additions, Mark. Reminds me of a song... "ebony and ivory, live together in perfect harmony..."

Seems that with all these new purchases the Tudor may not get the wrist time it deserves. How about selling me that baby for about $1000. Huh? How bout it?
