Its a beauty alright. The one comment on that page has it right - why can't Longines produce anything that nice in their modern line?

You're a very good bean counter or you wouldn't be where you are. Its funny, I have always appreciated excellence no matter the subject - I was once asking a carpenter at our house about what he was doing and he kept blowing me off. I asked him again another day and he looked at me oddly and said "Geez, you actually want to know this stuff!" He assumed that since people call me DocRWM that I was condescending to him. His work was so excellent that I was jealous because I know I can not do it that well and wanted to see if I could get any hints from him. A master, of any craft, is someone that deserves professional respect regardless of how much schooling or letters they have IMHO. As for the Doc part - I just work with kids that need special help. Getting to play with kids is fun.
