seperation anxiety in regards to watches? Reason I'm asking is I only own one "high" end watch, my Breitling Super Ocean Professional. Well a few months back I had noticed it losing time. I mean 45 to 55 seconds/day! When I purchased the watch from Roar it was about -5 sec/day. Anyway, I lived with it and just reset the watch when I'd wear it. Then I went to take it out of the winder one day and it had stopped. Needless to say I was somewhat distraught! I contacted Breitling USA and they gave me an Authorized Service Center in the Miami area. Well I had no idea of who this guy was but the service was going to cost $540!!!! I about spit coffee all over my keyboard! I've seen people selling japanese watches on WUS stating they just paid $100+ to have the watch serviced prior to selling. Now are they full of crapola or is that true. Anyway, to get back on topic. Tim turned me on to his AD in Burbank. Vahram contacted me right away with a price for service I couldn't believe!!! Let's just say it wasn't anywhere near $540. Now I might have ben leary if this wasn't someone that Tim has done business with for years and John aka Northwestguy just bought a Omega Seamaster GMT from. So I just got done shipping the watch to Burbank and I'm sitting here freaking out! I miss it already and won't be able to rest until I know it's in the safety of Vahram's hands!!!! So anyone else ever felt like that or am I the only SENSITIVE one here????

Duff,

First, glad you got a good deal on the service. Tim has been talking about his AD for a long while and he's got some very nice watches so I'm glad he hooked you up.

Second, of course you miss it. What WIS wouldn't? But you have a killer Seiko to wear in the mean time!

Hang in their buddy.

Why did BUSA have you talk to a guy in Miami instead of sending it up to them? Hell my Rolex Sub was only 325.00 for a full service and they took the bracelet apart because it was polished gold and brushed steel and refinished it too! I've got a Chrono Avenger about ready for a service and it will go to BUSA in CT.

Not sure Trev. That's where they told me to send it. Maybe that's BUSA in the Southern US. That's where they told me to send it but I sure wasn't going to pay $540. Vahram does a complete clean up and polish and brushes the case and bracelet as well.
