I think Boscoe has/had one of these because it protected against his growing reaction to the metal in casebacks. If you're at WL you might ask him about it and what he thinks. Good guy.

I'd like it better non-DLC'd. It looks good, though.

I really like the look of that Citizen. I think everyone needs a nice looking quartz, but that's just me.

I've got several. One Chrono at the office that I use when I need one but wore a non-chrono. They sure are convenient.

Would you ship it if you could find a less expensive place, Duff?

I am bidding on a old watch demagnitizer and will try that if I win it. I came home from work this morning and went to wind it and it had stopped 2 hours earlier, wound it and it stopped a couple times. So far running but something is definately wrong with it.

Duff, if that doesn't work out, Jake B has them new for $28 shipped!bodypeersur wrote:I am bidding on a old watch demagnitizer and will try that if I win it. not sure what up with one of duffs watches but a demagnitizer only works when a watch is running very fast, no?????

Trev,
That's the most likely scenario but it can cause the mainspring to bind to itself it that is what is the problem and that can stop the watch intermittently from what I have read over the years. At $28 its worth trying first.

Yep, if thats the case i would do the 28 bones, not a watch shop duff that can run it through one for you! I had a 6497 running fast and my guy has one and charged me 10 bucks but for the price might be handy to have one around, 3 watches with the problem and it paid for!

Well I'll see if I win the one on the bay. It's a vintage watch demagnitizer made specifically for watches. I believe the ones our friend is selling are really meant to demagnitize screw drivers and small parts. Either way, it's worth a shot.

Good thing it's not a vintage watch demagnitizer made specifically for something else, other than watches.

I ordered the one from Jake and it should arrive this week. I had asked him about it's use. I will let you know how things turn out.

I tried to order one and he refunded my money and said it was to the wrong email account. He did not provide the correct one or respond to my email. Guess he really isn't that interested in selling one to me.
