Heuer Autavia...holy hotness!
While poking around the internet, I ran across a pretty cool article about the Heuer Autavia, the first automatic chronograph. Here is the intro to the article for some perspective:
On march 3 1969, the first automatic chronograph movement was introduced. This movement, called Chronomatic, was developed by a joint venture of Heuer, Breitling, Buren and Dubois-Depraz. The Chronomatic was used by Heuer, Breitling and Buren under the name of caliber 11.

Sweet piece and i think they shared the movement or made it together with Breitling! Think the year was 69 and Seiko was building automatic chrongraphs at the same time! Guess it would help if i read the post instead of looking at the pictures but i was pretty damn close so a few things have stuck in this brain of mine!

That Heuer GMT is a beauty...Looks like Tag is returning to the earlier Heuer look with the introduction of the cal 1887 models..although the movement is different...That is a whole other can of worms..

Just wish Seiko would do the same with their auto chrono lineup!
