I have always loved these two Certina models...

DS-2 Super PH1000M

Certina Dive Watches Certin10

(not my photo, from Vintage Certinas)

Caliber - Certina 25-651 - Automatic
Size - 43 x 46 x 18
Produced - 1970 to 1975
Date without quickset
Orange dial with appliqued indices
Water resistant to 1000 metres

Caliber - Certina 25-651
Size - 40 x 43.5 x 13 Automatic.
Produced - 1972 to 1975
Cushion case
Date without quickset
Black dial with appliqued indices.
Water resistant to 200 metres

Very nice dive watches. Those were HUGE for 1970. Amazing.

Agreed. Makes you wonder if the owners wore them only as diving tools. Because the sure would have stood out wearing one of those to dinner, or walking down the street.

I have one orange dial and one blue dial watch. The remainders are either black, silver or white. I personally can't see the fascination with colored dials, but that's just me.

I have an orange, blue, and a red at present. I have several Creme dials (Midos) that remind me of 1940s era watches. A few white but most are black.

I like colourzz, colourzz is purty.


Um, lets, see, one yeller; one bordeaux; a couple blue; a couple white; several black, highlighted with red, silver, green, blue.
