Intrepid Journey....
Yesterday I was in NYC for some company business as well as a veteran's reception/event that my company (the worldwide leader ) puts on annually for our employee veterans. This year the event was held at the USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The event was very nice with lunch, speeches, tours and a ceremony on the deck.
If you have never had the chance to visit the museum, it is well worth the trip the next time that you visit the city. It is a very historic vessel, with a tremendous history and many stories to tell. Here is a link to the website for more information --->> http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/
Now to the pictures. I apologize in advance for the quality, but I only had my iPhone 4:
It was a long day...time to go home!

Pretty cool, Mark. Were people looking funny at you while you were setting your watch in different locals?

I get stared at all of the time...not sure why. Maybe they are wondering which "facility" I escaped from!porschefan wrote:Pretty cool, Mark. Were people looking funny at you while you were setting your watch in different locals?
I used to care, but the older I get, the more I really don't. Seriously, when will those guys see me again anyways! If it is work folk, they are affraid of me anyways...tax scares people for some reason! Or maybe it is the patch and pirate hat that I wear....
Honestly, I am not shy at all and am very used to doing things in public. This comes from working on locations for my dad's photo studio for a decade or so. At that point, it comes down to getting what you need to get done...no matter what people think. I miss that work...should have kept the cameras!!!

Wow, looks like your Omega had a great day. You need to take it out more often. Thanks for sharing. For some reason I loathe NYC and avoid going there as much as possible. Maybe its all the bad cab rides, or...well, glad you had a great time.
Thank you for your service to the USA.
