Excellent point. Why would you pay that for a watch with pedestrian specs, a non-specified country of origin, and a movement that is only described as "quartz"?

BTW, I became aware of this because I received an advertisement email from the distributor this morning.

Thermo-compensated and all that jazz. Not a fan of quartz in general but if you're going to go quartz this is the way to go.
