With the current trend of watches with increasing water resistant levels, I thought that I would pass along the story of the ultimate dive watch -- The Rolex Deep Sea Special. This watch was developed back in the 50's and 60's by Rolex to test the limits of dive watches to the furthest extent. This culminated on January 23, 1960 when Jacques Picard made his record breaking dive in the "Bathyscaphe" to the bottom of the Mariana Trench off of the coast of Guam.

Rolex let fourtanes in Carmel borrow it this last summer for a huge Rolex get together from fans around the world! 20 minutes away but a little too intimidating for this kid to attend!

just dont quite fit in at the RWF, love the guys at Fourtanes but the old rolex forum doesnt like new members all that much but a great place to research the brand!
