Does who owns which watch model really matter to you?

I loathe the Rolex and other "high-end" watches that use idiots like Clooney to hawk their watches. Makes me want one LESS because a) most of those folks are idiots that know nearly nothing about watches, and b) they are funding that million(s) $ contract on my back.

Am I alone in these perceptions?

It doesn't bother me that much. A celebrity endorsement has not influenced me in a single watch purchase, or any other type of purchase. Endorsements have been a marketing tool for a hundred years.

Celebrities have been endorsing products for year and it's never affected if I do or don't buy something. Of course if Stallone endorsed it I'd be all over it like flies on shit because he can make or break a product! That said, I buy what I like, don't pay too much and enjoy the hell out of it.
