Always the bridesmaid...

I have a few models that I have online dated or met in person, but never pulled the trigger and married to my wrist. Not sure why, it just seems to be when I have the money to make a new watch purchase, it goes elsewhere.

Here are some of mine. Any thoughts? What are your bridesmaids?

Mido All Dial Chronograph. I actually had the day-date 2836 model and sold it to fund something else. I promised myself that I would replace it with the 7750 model at some point, but it has never happened.


Dubey and Schaldenbrand Caprice Vintage. Tried one on a couple of years ago, eye them on ebay, but never bite.


Yes Worldwatch. I think these are cool digitals, but the price always shakes me off.

I own a Mido All Dial and much as I like Mido and the quality is there the design lacks in so many ways. The case has gotten more dings than any other watch I have ever owned because the sides are flat and sloped outward toward the wrist. The strap/bracelet is proprietary and the attachment is a PITA. Accuracy is great and the price is excellent but no more All Dials for me.

That new Hamilton is one of the nicest retro designs that is not just a reissue (it could be, but I do not recall one precisely like it) I have seen. Too much text on the dial IMHO, but that is almost a given these days.
