How many watches does it take to achieve happiness

Happiness can't be achieved, with one or many... happiness comes from within, from the happiness given to others.
You may become pleased, or satisfied, with an amount of material goods; but that satisfaction, too, must come from you saying to yourself, "I am pleased..."
Look at some folks around these sites, that talk about how much they want a certain piece, it's their "grail." They've always wanted it, can't stop thinking about it, jocks and movie stars are wearing it... they dump parts of their collection to get it, then keep it for less than a year to sell it for a watch they've never, ever talked about before. Seems like it didn't make them happy.

Well, I never claimed to be wise. Although I prefer Socrates defition of Wisdom to Bacons.

Happiness is based on CIRCUMSTANCE...

Joy and peace are being able to be comfortable "where you are in a situation," be it good or bad...

That said, I have 10 now and not looking for any others (at the moment)...

people think that the more watches they have, the happier they will be...only to find out they are unhappy because they don't have the time to wear them all.

most watches are obtainable at anytime, you don't need it in your possession at the moment

So, Dress Watch, Beater, and Casual watch are the essentials? Perhaps a speciality watch too if one dives or needs a chrono?

Max "essential" kit - 4 or 5 watches?

If you had to go to that # which would fill each category for you?

Dress - Bulova Gold 23 Jewel
Beater - Seiko 009
Casual - Mido Multifort Pulsemeter
Speciality - Sinn UTC (I do need a chrono at work)

But that leaves me in a dillema - which watch do I need to dive without a hard suit to depths below 200m? Hmmmm........ :?:
